Dantanna’s Date Night + NYE Plans

With Christmas behind us and after catching our breath from the construction of toys + cleaning duties, we decided to bid farewell to the kiddos for a much-deserved date night!

We headed to Dantanna’s in Sandy Springs for some bubbly and good eats. Formerly Dantanna’s Tavern, the neighborhood bar and restaurant opened in Sandy Springs in 2014 with a tavern-inspired menu and rustic feel. After two years, the owners decided to bring the full Dantanna’s experience to this location.

Atlanta date night

Dantanna’s Sandy Springs is now offering the original Buckhead dinner menu filled with aged steaks, daily fresh seafood and all its other signature favorites. Partner and Executive Chef Tim Williams, a Culinary Institute of America educated and trained chef, is committed to using only the freshest and highest quality ingredients.

Here’s what we picked from the menu for our night out (every. single. thing. was ah-mazing):
Appetizer … Cajun Chicken Eggrolls
Mr. T … Scallop & Shrimp Risotto
Me … Berkwood Farms Berkshire Pork Rib Chop {still daydreaming about this one!}
Dessert you ask? Why yes. … Krispy Kreme Bread Pudding {another crowd-pleaser}

I’m totally digging the new aesthetic inside and out. It still offers a generous bar area with plenty of TVs to enjoy games, but there’s a more intimate experience in the dining section. The new outdoor space has ample heating all-around.

Service and tradition run deep at Dantanna’s in Sandy Springs. The two managers at this location have a history with several Atlanta favorites that include Flying Biscuit and Bones. We will certainly be back for the Bloody Mary Bar they host each Saturday and Sunday from 11-3 {it’s my understanding that other locations only have this on Sundays}.

If you’re trying to make last minute New Year’s Eve plans, partygoers at the Buckhead and Sandy Springs locations can enjoy a champagne toast at midnight to ring in the new year!

Here’s some date night outfit inspo!
