SunTrust Park – the Atlanta Braves' new home

Today is a big day for Atlanta – the Braves are kicking off their season in the new SunTrust stadium! We are excited to head to the game and cheer on our home-town team!

Here are 7 Numbers to know as the Braves light up the new field (as reported by USA Today):

  1. $400 million in public funds when toward the construction of the ballpark
  2. $1.1 billion is the estimated cost of the entire project, including the ballpark and the adjacent entertainment district, dubbed The Battery Atlanta
  3. 7:35 pm is the start time for weekday night games {due to Atlanta traffic}
  4. 41,149 is the apacity of SunTrust Park, down from almost 50,000 at Turner Field
  5. 15 is the capacity for the rooftop cabanas available for rental before every game
  6. 300 is the number of Braves-themed art pieces throughout the ballpark
  7. 5% alcohol by volume of Chopsecutioner Ale, a brew aged atop wood from real Mizuno baseball bats

I had to wear this dress to work today because it always makes me think of baseball! The stripes, heavy fabric and tie-up detail are what give it the vibe. It’s from Madewell and they are having an awesome sale through the weekend, shop my favorites below or here!
