school ready with clothes n backpacks + our weekend

The Nordstrom Sale is still going strong {ends July 16th} and there’s so much to love for the kiddos. I feel like school is going to sneak up on me because I’ve already ordered books and school socials are filling the calendar. My boys wear uniforms, but I’m stocking up on a few staples for them and ordering backpacks.

Here are my favorites for the boys:

North Face black down jacket // NF blue and orange // Black camo backpack // Nike tee // Camo waterproof boot // Bright Nike shoe // New Balance shoe // Also love this patagonia jacket available in limited sizes

Girl faves:

North Face pink chevron // Patagonia down jacket {this is THE BEST jacket for kids} // Ivory Widgeon coat // Patagonia quilted down vest // Tucker + Tate painted rose jeggings // Garden floral jeggings // Pink bootie // Also love this, this and this.

My younger boys have used their pottery barn backpacks for two school years. I call that a win. Honestly, they’ve held up so well that they could almost use them again, but they need a bigger size. If you plan to have it monogrammed then now is the time to order.

We had a pretty good weekend. Connor got home from his weeklong beach trip with lots of fishing stories to tell. Saturday morning we hit Historic Fourth Ward Park and splash pad with friends.

The kids were able to cool off in the water but the mamas were melting in the heat.

After the park we met Mr. T over at a vacant property he owns to let the boys shoot bb guns. To say they loved it would be an understatement. Ella and I sat in our loungers swatting bugs while they loaded and aimed at targets. After some delish barbeque at Jim and Nicks for lunch we headed home, filled up a little baby pool on the patio and chilled…Totally worth the $30 investment!

Um amen to a diagnosis…and happy Monday peeps.
