Christmas bucket list

30% off Christmas trees. Valid 11/29 – 12/3

I dunno about y’all, but the ungodly amount of cyber Monday emails, gift picks in my insta feed and hubbub in general is already depleting my Christmas spirit. I’m trying to keep it real this year. And by keep it real, I mean making sure we’re remembering the reason for the season.

In that spirit, I decided to create a Christmas bucket list.

  1. DO NOT get caught up in Elf on the Shelf. Nuff said.
  2. DO take a drive to Lake Lanier Holiday Lights.
  3. Less gift bags, more wrapping paper.
  4. Write personal notes to family, teachers and loved ones.
  5. Bake lots of treats with the kiddos!
  6. Be consistent with devotionals and the Advent calendar.
  7. Find a way to give back to those in need that the kids can get involved with.
  8. Give more locally purchased and/or handmade gifts {not handmade my me…from Etsy…wink}.

I’m going to be adding to this, so please feel free to comment with things I should add.

I love kicking off the holiday season in Texas with family. The kids get fired up over it and we always have a blast. Here’s a few shots from our day after Thanksgiving Christmas celebration.
