I’ve been picking up my running game with the cooler weather. And by ‘picking it up’ I mean going from zero running to a few miles 3-4 days a week. I workout with a group trainer on the other days. A few years ago when I was having a little mini-crisis over turning 30 I decided to sign up for an outdoor bootcamp at Chastain Park around my birthday. My birthday is in February and it happened to be one of the coldest winters in Atlanta’s recent history. I pushed myself to new limits and was very proud to complete the 90 day challenge.
It made me take a liking to working out and running in the chilly weather whereas before I would typically limit myself to the gym in the winter. Our family also loves to ski and we’ll be heading to the mountains this February – so some layering will be in order!
