quarantine atlanta

This is my first post in a while for a number of reasons, but what better time to connect with everyone!

To say the last two weeks have been unreal is putting it lightly, but I know we’re all in the same boat. Somehow there’s a little comfort in that. This is uncharted territory and I think the only thing we can do is take it one day at a time. When I find myself start to get stressed or overwhelmed, I try to stop and acknowledge a few things I’m grateful for. It grounds me and puts things into perspective. Very grateful to be able to celebrate Connor’s 19th birthday and George’s 13th birthday recently. They’re both March babies and only one day apart!

Having some sunshine for a few days really lifted our sprits! I was able to hit the Beltline and Piedmont Park for a little walk and fresh air. I didn’t last too long on the Beltline because it was a little super crowded and made me uneasy. This is the city’s #FlattenTheCurve campaign imagery, but people really don’t seem to be adhering to it.

I purchased these new workout shoes a few months ago, and absolutely love them! If you’re looking for a new pair I highly recommend. They are super light while offering great support.

The kids have technically been on spring break so far which means the new reality of ‘homeschooling’ or remote learning hasn’t hit us yet. Have to say I’m very weary of what that’s going to look like! Meanwhile, I’m knocking out projects and getting organized a little at a time (of course watching lots of netflix, hulu and prime as well).

Since we are all facing this new normal of staying home, I’ve included a roundup below of picks for staying comfy! Might as well make the best of it, right?! So many retailers are having great sales right now so it’s a good time to stock up.

I continue to be in awe of all the medical workers that continue to put themselves on the front-line and work endless hours for the health of our community and nation. They truly deserve our prayers and support!

I’d like to work on a post that lists local businesses that remain open and how we can support them. Please message me any that you know of and I’ll continually update!

Wishing you all health, safety and sanity during this uncertain time!
