destination wedding weekend + workout gear for inspiration

We had such a fun weekend in Pensacola, Florida celebrating my cousin’s nuptials with his high school sweetheart. Our family stayed at Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville resort, and had the best time. They’ve been dating for something like 10+ years so this has been a long time coming. They both have wonderful parents as great examples and support for them and their future children. This was the amazing view at the reception we were greeted with. Wow.

Here’s what I wore to the bridal luncheon my grandmother hosted. Camilyn Beth makes really amazing pieces; this is her signature “Go-Go” dress. The fabric has a great weight to it making it wearable all year. I wore it to a winter wedding last year.

The back of this dress is what really gives it the wow-factor.

This floral dress from Asos is so fun, but I think the kitten heels were my favorite part. They are SO comfortable and chic.

You may have seen my earlier post talking about how much I loved this dress. It was sold out at the time but I got an alert that it became available and jumped on it {at 30% off too…woot!}. From what I can tell it is still sold out online, but you can rent it from Rent the Runway! I’ve rented from them for another cousin’s wedding and had a great experience.

The high-lo action is so fun.

I was ready to get home to the kids on Sunday! Connor was on his 8th grade trip to the Grand Canyon all last week so I was really missing him. I celebrated mom’s day with Ella and Winston in their classes last week, but they all made me lots of sweet goodies with precious notes I cherish. Robby got me an Augusta Wilson painting I wanted for Mother’s Day! So excited about it, and will be sure to share pics once I decide where it will be hanging. This is a cute video of Ella. We let her stay up extra late for some extra snuggling.

Ready or not summer is just around the corner and I’ve been trying to get it together for bathing suit season! I am always inspired to get to the gym when I have something cute to wear. These floral pants are my latest inspiration so I thought I’d share a few other pieces I have my eye on.

I’m getting to Blast once a week now and I’ve seen real results in my upper body strength and speed on the treadmill. It has been awesome to continue to push myself during this AWESOME workout and see results. Newtons remain my very favorite workout shoe. They feel awkward when you first buy them because it feels like you’re walking on your tip-toes, but I’m telling you these have lasted me 2 years and still going strong. The bottoms mold to your walk and they offer support like no other shoe I’ve owned. Definitely worth a try if you’re looking for a solid shoe.

Here are few pieces I love from local places I spotted on Instagram.
atlantaactivewearI love the butterfly pants! Atlanta Activewear is located in Virginia Highlands, but they take paypal on Instagram.

More fun prints. These are from DEKA Atlanta, they also have a great selection of Newtons.
