I had so much fun attending Atlanta’s most fashionable event last night, Jeffrey Fashion Cares! It has grown to be one of the largest combined AIDS and breast cancer benefits in the country.
This year the venue was Phipps Plaza and I really did not know what to expect being in the center of a shopping mall. But what guests walked into was truly a transformation. White curtains strung to the ceiling created a corridor of fashion, luxury handbags and high-end jewels with a red-hot Porsche right in the center!
One of the most exciting {in my humble opinion} and highest grossing on the live auction docket was the illustrious Vogue Trip. It entails a trip for two to New York Fashion Week, lunch with a Vogue Market Stylist and surprise event during NY Fashion Week. Chic hotel included. This zinger raised $10,000! We met the live auctioneers after the show and they are a sweet couple with four kids and apparently in-demand on the auctioneer circuit.
The event had approximately 800 guests in attendance and the sold-out show founded by New York and Atlanta retailer Jeffrey Kalinsky featured high-end designers such as Lanvin, Celine, Christian Dior, Givenchy, Valentino, Dries van Noten, Saint Laurent Paris, Balenciaga, Christian Louboutin and Manolo Blahnik.
I wore this topshop number, and absolutely can’t wait to wear it again. It’s also currently on sale for half off, making it under $60! {necklace/shoes/similar bag here & here…orginally purchased from Kane boutique in Atlanta}.
From military, to sequins, to inspiration from the decades of the 70s and the 90s, this year’s show encompassed an array of trends. Here’s a little sampling of my favorites…
Outerwear is key this season, which totally excites me. This red cape on the runway has me ready to hit checkout on that red and pink cape I mentioned in an earlier post. I also love this one, but not sure my casual workwear demands it.
Such a fun night and special event benefitting two wonderful organizations!
