We hosted a special group for a cocktail party this weekend and got our decorations up. This is a fun cocktail recipe from Southern Living – it’s tasty and festive!
Rudolph’s Tipsy Spritzer
5 cups OJ
2 cups Chilled Lemon-Lime Soft Drink
1 1/2 cups Vodka
1/2 cup Maraschino Cherry Juice
1/4 cup Fresh Lemon Juice
Mix all together and garnish with rosemary sprigs | Makes about 9 1/2 Cups
This is a festive dish I found on the Pioneer Woman’s blog and tweaked a little. It’s just mozzarella chunks with cherry tomatoes on skewers drizzled with this fantastic balsamic vinaigrette I found at our farmer’s market. The rosemary/parsley garnish gives it the holiday touch I was aiming for!
I hung these ornaments from the kitchen chandalier and love how it turned out. They will be staying there for the season.
It can be a little crazy pulling everything out with a toddler and little wild boys running around…but once it’s all up it’s so worth it. Connor has outgrown me now so he’s doing a lot of heavy lifting around here! My mother-in-law and sister-in-law were here visiting so they helped us with the tree and outside wreaths.
Here’s a shot of the tree and mantle. I found this fantastic burlap ribbon with little jingle bells on it at a local antique shop. My mother-in-law helped make it look like this though ;).
