home office moves to the guest room

Since we’ve lived in our current home {going on 4 years}, I’ve had my home office parked in the study downstairs right off the front door. It is not enclosed at all so you can imagine with our party of six it is quite noisy on most days. Not to mention a pain to keep clean being in such a visible spot!

I was inspired by a solid wood desk I found on the Facebook exchange last fall for a whopping $30 to move my home office upstairs to the guest room. I finally got around to painting it this month and have been a lil OCD about finishing the rest of the room! I wish I had kept a before image of the desk, but I can’t find it to save my life.

Here are images of what I’ve done so far. If you’re interested in any product info, shoot me an email if it’s not linked!

The art and headboard I already owned, I just raised the headboard a bit. I’d really like it a little higher when I get the time. Don’t pay any attention to that crooked wall art…I’m terrible at it…

I love this lil corner. Can’t decide what I’ll use that gold basket for after the holidays…

I love, love, love this piece! I found it at Hobby Lobby for 50% off and I seriously don’t want to take down those copper lights after the holidays. In fact, I don’t think I will.

Copper LED lights

I’ve organized ALL my jewelry! This is a Christmas miracle.

Using this book at mouse pad!

And here’s the finished product…
